Keith Haring

Haring in a papal palace off Piazza Navona, one baroque staircase away from the subway chalk drawings that started him. His line was built to be read at a glance by people walking past, so do not stand and study it — walk the rooms at the speed of a commuter and it works the way he meant it to. It runs for a year, so there is no rush — but the rooms are quietest on a weekday morning.
