Pontormo

From 9 October 2026 to 7 February 2027, the first major monographic exhibition devoted to Pontormo. The leading figure of the great season of sixteenth-century Florentine painting, embodying the passage from the High Renaissance to Mannerism; an eccentric innovator of classical models, and for that reason the object of a wide following in the twentieth century, from Pasolini to Bill Viola; a revered object of desire for collectors all over the world, and popular with the wider public for the strong originality of his creative personality — Pontormo is, for the first time, the subject of a major exhibition dedicated entirely to him.
